10th International Conference of Maritime Law
Piraeus, 24 - 26 September 2020
The Piraeus Bar Association and the Organizing Committee welcome you on the site of the 10th International Conference of Maritime Law. The forthcoming Conference is the sequel of a well-known and prestigious tradition, established 28 years ago, which provides the framework for the meeting at regular intervals of maritime academics, practitioners, public officers and experts from all over the world and the fruitful exchange of ideas on topics of high theoretical and practical interest.
The 10th International Conference of Maritime Law will be held in Piraeus from 24 to 26 September 2020. The subject of the forthcoming event is titled “Protecting maritime operators in a changing regulatory and technological environment”.
Piraeus Bar Association, as a legal entity governed by public law, was established by Law 1866/1920, shortly after the establishment of Piraeus Court of First Instance in 1918.
Since its establishment, Piraeus Bar Association has proven a remarkable career. Outstanding scientists who honored the scientific knowledge and the institutions of the State were either members of the Association or were involved in its administration. Piraeus Bar Association activity and intervention in national, local or of wider social interest issues is continuous, while it also participates in the formation of principles of the rule of law.
Piraeus Bar Association displays great interest in the modern scientific and institutional developments and seeks to participate in every organization that aims at adapting to european standards and promoting scientific and technological achievements, in order to upgrade the social and scientific presence of its members and of Piraeus society in general.
