Georgios P. Karamizaris is Second Vice-President of the Piraeus Bar Association and attorney at the Supreme Court. He was born in Athens on 14 February 1968. He is a member of the Piraeus Bar Association since 1991, upon registration as a trainee lawyer. In 1993 he was admitted as attorney. He graduated from Hellenic-French School Saint Paul (1985) and of the Faculty of Law of the Democritus University of Thrace (1991).
Offices and positions of responsibilities held: He was President of the Board of the Trainee and Young Lawyers Association of Piraeus during 1996-1998. During 2007-2008 and since 2011 up to date he is elected in the Board of the Piraeus Bar Association. In 2010-2012 he participated in the Administrative Team of the Strategic Planning Project of the Greek Ministry of Justice, Transparency and Human Rights. In 2011 took part in the Working Group of the Operational Project “Digital Conversion for the Simplification of the flux in civil and penal procedures” of the same Ministry. In 2012 he presided over the Regional Committee of Commerce of the Islands Unit of the Region of Attika. In 2014-2016 he was a member of the Evaluation Committee of candidates trainee lawyers. From 2014 to date he represents the Plenary Session of the Greek Bar Associations’ Presidents in the working group for the Project “National Cadastre Electronic Services” and since 2019 to date he partakes in the scientific committee for the evaluation of consequences of introduction of artificial intelligence tools in the judicial system.
