Frank STEVENS

Associate Professor Frank Stevens obtained his Law Degree from the University of Leuven (Belgium) in 1991.  He also holds an LL.M. in Admiralty from Tulane University (1992), a "Special Degree in Maritime Sciences" from the University of Antwerp (1993) and a Doctorate in Law from the University of Ghent (2017). He is Associate Professor of maritime and commercial law at Erasmus School of Law.
Frank Stevens joined the Antwerp Bar in 1993, and has been practising transport and maritime law since then. Since 2016, he is an Associate Professor at the Erasmus School of Law in Rotterdam, and of counsel to a maritime law firm.

Ioannis ANDROULAKIS

Ioannis Androulakis is Assistant Professor of Criminal Law & Criminal Procedure at National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and attorney-at-law.

He is a national representative in the Implementation Team of UN Convention Against Corruption, member of numerous law-making committees, working groups and evaluation mechanisms of international organizations such as the Financial Action Task Force, the European’s Council task force against organised crime, the groups of Asset Recovery Office and the group of OECD against bribery.

 

Iosif TSALAGANIDIS

The Honorable Justice Iosif Tsalaganidis was born in Athens and started his judicial career as cadet judge of district court. He graduated Athens Law School with distinction in 1976 and he speaks English and German.

George LELOUDAS

Dr George Leloudas is an Associate Professor at the Institute of International Shipping and Trade Law (IISTL) of Swansea University that he joined in 2011. He is a graduate of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. He holds LLM degrees in Commercial Law from the University of Bristol (England, 2002) and in Air and Space Law from the Institute of Air and Space Law of McGill University (Montreal, Canada, 2003). He also completed his PhD degree in air law at Trinity Hall, Cambridge University in 2009.

Lia ATHANASSIOU

Lia Athanassiou is Professor of Commercial Law with senior full-time tenure at the Law School of the University of Athens, teaching mainly Shipping Law, Competition Law, Company Law as well as EU State Aids Law. She is also the Director of the Post Graduate Program on Business Law at the above University.

Michael NOLAN

Michael Nolan is a Queen's Counsel (Q.C) and member of Quadrant Chambers. His practice covers all aspects of the law relating to ships, the international carriage and sale of goods, insurance and reinsurance, harbour law, commercial contracts, private international law and professional negligence. He appears regularly in arbitration, is a supporting member of the LMAA, a member of the SCMA and accepts appointments as an arbitrator.

Yannis STOURNARAS

Yannis Stournaras is Governor of Bank of Greece. He graduated from the Department of Economics, University of Athens (1978) and He obtained his post-graduate degrees (MPhil 1980, DPhil 1982) from Oxford University, where he also worked from 1982 to 1986 as a Research Fellow and Lecturer at St. Catherine’s College and as Research Fellow at the Oxford Institute for Energy Studies. Today, he is Professor of Economics at the Department of Economics, University of Athens.

Theodore SYRIOPOULOS

Dr. Theodore SYRIOPOULOS is Professor of Finance at the School of Business, University of the Aegean, Greece. He also holds adjunct and visiting posts in several Universities, including Athens Law School. Professor Syriopoulos teaches a range of undergraduate as well as postgraduate courses in the field of Finance, including: International Finance, Shipping Finance, Banking Management, Global Capital Markets and Portfolio Management, Advanced Corporate Finance & Risk Management, and Financial Derivatives and Risk Management.

Stephen GIRVIN

Professor Stephen Girvin is a tenured full Professor of Law at the National University of Singapore (NUS) and Director of the Centre for Maritime Law (CML) since 2015, after a five-year period as Vice Dean (Research) in the Faculty. He has taught at Aberdeen, Nottingham, and Birmingham Universities and has been a Visiting Professor in several Universities throughout the world.

George IATRIDIS

George Iatridis is attorney-at-law (Watson Farley & Williams), with a 30 years' experience in advising Greek and international ship-owning groups, P&I clubs, banks and insurers and reinsurers.
